During our recent NJQSAC monitoring, the district scored well above the 80% mark established by the State in all five areas of review:
As a result, the Dumont Public Schools has been recognized as a "High Performing" District.

Dumont High School has been recognized twice by the College Board as a recipient of the Annual AP District Honor Roll award. The district continues to research and provide for additional AP course and dual-enrollment opportunities for students to earn college credits in high school.
Of the 340 AP exams* administered to 157 students, 81% of the participating students, scored a 3 or higher earning them college credit from most schools.
This was higher than that of the State, which was 71.6%, and also exceeded the Global average of 61.3%.

For the 2021 school year, we had 47 students recognized by College Board as “AP Scholars.”
- Scholars: 20 students received a grade of 3.0 or higher on 3 or more exams
- Scholars with Honor: 7 students received a grade of 3.0 or higher on 4 or more AP exams, and had an overall average of at least 3.25
- Scholars with Distinction: 20 students received a grade of 3.0 or higher on at least 5 exams, and had an overall average of at least 3.5
