REGISTRATION OVERVIEW

 

Overview

  • PREPARE:  Before starting, collect the necessary documents. You will need these as part of the registration process. See requirements below.
  • REGISTER: Please select the appropriate link on the left hand side to complete your child's online registration.
  • SCHEDULE: Please contact the Registrar's office at (201) 338-8933 to schedule your appointment to bring in your residency documents.
 

Documentation Requirements:

An original deed, mortgage statement, lease, OR property tax bill

NOTE: If a lease is used for proof of residency, a Landlord Affidavit and proof of rent payment for a current period with a lease termination date clearly indicated on the agreement are required. **If you do not have a written lease, please contact the registrar's office to obtain the “Letter of Residence from Landlord in Lieu of Lease” form.**

       

FOUR of the following statements showing family name and Dumont address: 

Recent Water bill, Recent unemployment claim, Television bill (Cablevision, Verizon, Satellite), Telephone bill, Recent Electric/Gas bill, Voter’s Registration Card, Insurance claim/payment or benefit statement, Auto insurance card, Recent Court Order, Current bank statement, Document pertaining to military status and assignment, New Jersey Driver’s License, New Jersey Non-Driver’s License Card, Consulate ID Card with Dumont Address, Driver’s Permit, New Jersey Vehicle Registration showing a Dumont address and family name. 

**All statements/bills must be dated within 60 days of submitting**

 

PLEASE NOTE:

You must be domiciled in Dumont in order to register your child for school in the district. Please note that a student's eligibility to attend school in this district is subject to a comprehensive review and may be re-evaluated if necessary. In the event that a student who has been admitted is later found to be ineligible, tuition may be assessed accordingly. If your student is determined to be ineligibleeither now or at a later timeyou will receive a written explanation of the decision, along with the information outlining the appeal process.
